Description
68800 Pierce Street Thermal, ca 92274 Video taken yesterday. Confirmed today that the problem continues. Unable to determine for how long it has been like that. Close to the fenced site you can see asmall pond of water that had its origin on the leak. West Nile Virus just had its first confirmed case in the area a few days ago and this can be a possible source of mosquitoes.

Confirmed via phone yesterday with a park's resident that problem has been solved.
Today at 9:00am PST I visually confirmed that the leak is no more. Regarding the pond that was formed/forming, it has also been taken care of - it was covered with the surrounding dirt to avoid mosquitoes. -

Spoke to court appointed receiver on 4/16/12 who explained that they have tried several times to stop leaks from this well, and he is well aware of West Nile concerns. When storage tank are full and flows in park are low, pressure in this well causes overflow/spills. Receiver stated that if needed, they would run a hose to nearest drainage ditch to eliminate standing water problem.
